2024/25 CAPTAIN-COACH

We are extremely excited to announce the signing of our senior playing coach for next season in James Muirhead. James comes to us from fellow VTCA club, Newport Digman, where he spent the past 2 and a half seasons as Captain-Coach.

James has one of the most impressive resumes of any current player in the VTCA, having played premier cricket with St Kilda and Footscray, before also featuring in the BBL for the Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars and later earned an international callup to debut against England during their Tour over the 2013/14 summer.

James also played First-Class cricket for Victoria and last played BBL with the Perth Scorchers in 2018. A top order batsman who made his name bowling leg spin, with plenty of impressive highlights. James’s signature was highly sought after this off-season.
